Valentine Dance Revel

Come celebrate Valentine’s Day with an afternoon of dance instruction and a ball in the evening. Live music will be provided by the renowned Bhakaili Branslers. There will be dances for both the beginner and the expert. Prizes will be awarded for the best dancing during love-themed dances.

The site is The Rotunda, 4012 Walnut Street, Philadelphia PA 19104.

Merchants welcome. Each merchant is requested to donate a prize for the dance competition. Merchants should contact the autocrat before the event so that set-up may be arranged.

Beverages will be provided, but there is no feast nor dayboard. There are many, variously priced restaurants within yards of the site. A complete list of eateries within a very short walk from the site will be available. During the afternoon, a bake sale will be held with all proceeds going to cancer research. The site is dry.

There is no site fee. The site is very easy to reach by public transit from anywhere in Philadelphia. Please contact the autocrat or SEPTA www.septa.com, 215-580-7800, for more information.

There is no parking attached to the site. There are free and metered parking spots on the streets near the site, as available. The parking garage across the street from the site may be used and the fee for the day is only $5 per car. To receive this discount, please tell the attendant that you are with the Renaissance group when you pay him/her as you are leaving.

From the north, take 95 South to 676/Central Philadelphia exit. Take 676 West to 76 East exit. * Follow 76 East exit under bridge and proceed into right lane and follow signs for Exit 345 / 30th Street (do not continue following 76 East). ** At the top of the ramp, you have to turn right. Follow this street around 30th Street Station and at the second light turn right onto Market Street. Drive 10 blocks, turn left at 40th Street and drive 4 blocks to 40th and Walnut. Turn right. The parking garage is to your right (above the Fresh Grocer store); the site is on your left next to the Bridge Cinema and Marathon Grill restaurant/bar.

From the south, take 95 North to 676 West (left-hand exit). Follow 676 for one mile to 76 East exit. Follow from * above.

From the west, take the Pennsylvania Turnpike to Exit 326 (Valley Forge). Proceed on 76 East to Exit 345 / 30th Street. Follow from ** above.
